Accreditation & Quality

The Solace Clinic is committed to providing safe, high quality, integrated care, from a patient’s first consultation through to treatment and follow up. We are accredited against the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards by Global Mark Pty Ltd.
The NSQHS Standards are the national accreditation framework for safety and quality in Australian healthcare, developed by the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care. Accreditation means an independent review has confirmed our systems and practices meet these national requirements, across every stage of a patient’s care with us.

We involve patients and the community in how we plan, deliver, and improve our services. Our clinical governance framework, supported by a committee structure, drives the best patient outcomes and experience. We audit against standards to ensure ongoing compliance, with results reported across multiple levels of the organisation.

Our accreditation covers standards including

Clinical Governance

We ensures our organisation has clear systems in place to deliver safe, high quality care and to keep improving.

Partnering with Consumers

We involve patients and the community in how we plan, deliver, and improve our services.

Infection Prevention & Control Hand Hygiene

We follow strict hand hygiene, respiratory etiquette and safe clinical practices across our facility to reduce the risk of preventable infections.

Medication Safety

We ensure safe prescribing, dispensing and administration of medicines, and keeping patients informed about their medicines.

Comprehensive Care

We ensure individualised care planning is developed with you and your family, from your first consultation through to discharge.

Communicating for Safety

We ensure clear, accurate communication between our team, patients and referring doctors, so nothing is lost as you move from consultation into treatment.

Blood Management

Covers safe and appropriate use of blood and blood products.

Recognising and Responding to Acute Deterioration

We have systems to identify and respond quickly if a patient’s condition changes, including changes in physical health or mental state.

Comprehensive, Patient Focussed Model

When you begin your care with us, we work with you to understand what matters to you with your care and treatment, your preferences and any concerns, from your very first consultation through to discharge. Your treatment plan is developed together with you, your carers or family, where you choose to involve them, and your treating specialist, and is reviewed and updated throughout your care.

Keeping You Informed About Your Medicines

Our clinical team will explain your medicines to you before they are given, including what they are for and what to expect. Our onsite pharmacist is also available to provide medicine education and support, so you understand how and when to take your medicines and can ask any questions. If you are prescribed medicines to take home, we will make sure you understand how and when to take them, and can direct you to further information and support if needed.

Partnering with Our Community

We believe patients and their families should have a voice in how care is delivered. The Solace Clinic partners with a Consumer Representative, who provides feedback from a patient and community perspective and helps guide improvements to our services. We regularly seek feedback from patients and their families to improve our services, including through patient surveys and follow up calls after treatment. We share our outcomes with a poster each quarter to and gain feedback on our results from our consumer representatives.

Speaking Up About Your Care and Safety

If at any time during your care you or your family have concerns, we want to hear from you. You can raise concerns with your treating team at any time. If you feel your concerns haven't been addressed, you can ask to speak with the Nurse Unit Manager or General Manager. Our reception team can help connect you with the right person.

If Something Goes Wrong

We are committed to open and honest communication with our patients. If something doesn't go to plan during your care, we will explain what happened, how it may affect you, and what we are doing to make care safer, in line with the Australian Charter of Healthcare Rights.

Feedback and Complaints

If you would like to provide feedback about your experience at The Solace Clinic, please contact our team. We welcome feedback as part of our ongoing commitment to safe, high quality, integrated care.
